And also you can't you delete stuff of the clix(2) on the go? You should be able to just browse through the themes and hold right, to delete.

Changing it to power and play allows you to use the clix while it is charging. However, you can't access the clix from your computer unless you select "connect usb" on the menu, which then gives that usb connected screen again. So you're half right in that it is possible to use while plugged in, but at the same time you can't mess with anything on your computer while it is plugged in.

it would be nice if it had the feature where u click and hold one side it shows the time, when hold is on or the player is off.

also a nice feature my mp3 phone has is that when the hold switch is on you can change tracks by holding the volume buttons down. This is especially nice since the hold switch is hard to access when the case is on(misticaudio case).

Also a flash stop watch program wouldnt be so bad.

To do this the player will most likely need to be in standby all the time, which mean battery life will be shorten, do you really want that?

Than how will you change the volume?

We did have a flash program called 'stopwatch', get it here. Load it into you clix like a flash game.

Some desired features:
- sound level control logic changed to use left button to reduce the volume and right button to increase it as we are normally acustomed in most audio devices.
- "flight mode" feature
- mini speaker or buzzer for the alarm.
- independent settings & store of custom EQ and sound enhancement features for each sound source: subscription service, video, FM, voice recorder and music (each needs different settings).
- autoloudness
- extend compatibility to other video formats
- bluetooth (for wireless headphones)
- more memory
- compensate for the "darkness effect" on videos converted to 320x240.
a brightness and contrast boost is needed.

cheers !

Smile Desired Firmware...

I would like to see the option to change the color of the font and the size,to be able to zoom in on a picture,to change pics to greyscale, sepia etc.It would be cool if you could do fun effects on the pic ex.hats, balloons and instead of holding the button to fast forward and reverse you hold it for about 3 sec and it will cont. by itself and to stop it click play and mostly i'd like to see gapless playback for music and an easier way to delete on the go....i know this is a lot but im sure these are all possible to do!

Lightbulb What I would like in the next firmware for the Clix 2...

After having the Clix 2 for a couple of weeks, and having years of experience with other players, I would like to see these options in the next firmware update for the Clix 2.

1. It would be nice if we had the ability to choose if when we unplugged our headphone from the port, the audio track that we were listening to would automatically pause.

2. Also, I believe that there should be a setting where the play mode 'shuffle all' (even the smart key setting of shuffle all) is only for the session of shuffle all, and doesn't change the global settings (normal, repeat, repeat one, shuffle, shuffle+repeat) and the global settings of play mode doesn't change unless you specifically change it. The play all function should even have the option of playing the song alphabetically (which is what it does now), or play all, but every song is shuffled. Even easier, just add a shuffle all option to the main playlist! My goal would be to have the songs on repeat, but when I go to shuffle all from the main menu, it wouldn't change my play mode settings to shuffle (would still stay on repeat no matter what).

3. Also, there should be an option to have the volume up and down buttons as fast forward and reverse when the hold is activated, because I would go out on a limb and say that most people that run/workout/drive with their players don't change their volume nearly as much as they use the fast forward/reverse buttons. The way to get the volume up and down to function is to deactivate the hold on the hold switch! It just kind of sucks to have to be in the now playing screen in order to use fast forward and reverse.

4. An option where the hold key activated whilst in FM Radio would substitute the volume buttons as record and auto preset-or to be able to set only one function to one or both volume buttons.

5. Of course being able to preview the themes without actually applying them would be a welcome option, but isn't terribly high on my priority list.

Overall, this music/flash/video player is a beautifully-made product, with its flash game/theme/font supporting, quality customizable EQ's, multiple format music and video playing, FM radio with radio recording and voice recording capabilities. And of course anyone who's seen the player can't forget about its super gorgeous AMOLED screen.

Wink Maybe for Clix 3

- include a case or folding top cover (device protection)
- option to turn off (deactivate) the FM radio.
- to play "Real Player" audio & video files
- support to view pdf files
- buzzer for the alarm and the alarm always active (except if fully shut down)
- integrated micro speakers (then buzzer not needed)
- bluetooth for headphones
- include a good video converter software
- promote the development of software applications and games for Clix. It can be a very good learning tool if media material is developed.
- touch screen
- more memory. i.e. 16 GBytes

Dreaming is for free !

I just bought the Iriver plus 3 clix (2nd generation) and can't get it to be recognized by the media player to download music to it. I noticed there is a lock icon but no info on how to unlock. This is not fun. I have spent hours trying to load music to the device. Anybody have any ideas?

The hold switch is in the bottom right hand corner of the player. Slide it to the left.

Carolyn i seriously suggest for you to pop in the CD included into you computer and read the manual, you're lacking a lot of info and i think that would help, also cruise these forums, all your questions are answered on here. SO yea read the manual, tells you everything you need to know. Clix2 works great, and i suggest using WMP11 or WMP10.

Well, I'm not a clix2 user yet, I'm one of the many waiting for the 8gb..! The only thing I can see from here is FLAC playback. OK, the larger files would mean more reads and so less battey life, but if any user is bothered about battery life then the solution is simple... Don't use FLAC!

And I disagree on the touchscreen - it'd be horrible to ruin the excellent design of the clix2 by having to incorporate a stylus. I find it embarrasing to use the stylus with my phone when in the pub. And that couldn't be implemented using a firmware upg.
